Altar Arrangements
The venue we selected is very rustic. Like super-rustic. If we were smart people, we would've chosen a Country theme, because that's what this venue screams. But we're not smart people. I am set upon having a glamorous wedding at this not-so-glam venue.
To your left, you will see a close-up of the altar at Texas Old Town. How does one go about glamorizing cedar branches...? With FLOWERS, of course!
I want one giant arrangement in the center, with fabric draping down the two side poles, as seen in the second photo (yes, that's the same altar! Amazing transformation!)

I want one giant arrangement in the center, with fabric draping down the two side poles, as seen in the second photo (yes, that's the same altar! Amazing transformation!)
Materials needed:
- Two ivy bushes (Hobby Lobby)
- Two assorted rose bushes (Hobby Lobby)
- Some miscellaneous flowers that match in color
- 4 floral foam bricks
- Two rectangular tablecloths (I had some , so I'll use them to drape down the side branches)
The finished floral arrangement
So, I hot glued the floral foam bricks to each other, then I snipped each flower and each stems of leaves from the main "bush", then stuck them into the floral foam in a decorative fashion. It's roughly the same size, if not a bit larger, than the one shown in the image above.
How I'm going to attach this to the altar? Good question. I don't know. I plan to have one of the men figure that out! They'll use a staple gun to attach the tablecloths to the wood, than maybe use rope or something to tie the floral arrangement to the top branch.
